Useful contributions include clearer setup instructions, accessibility fixes, stale-link reports, and source-backed corrections. Include attribution and licenses for contributed content.

Report something reproducible

For hardware reports, include the exact image/hash, board/RAM, power supply, cooling, storage, controller/connection, display mode, emulator version, steps and observed result. Remove credentials, serial numbers and unrelated personal information from logs. Do not attach commercial ROMs or BIOS files.

Work with upstream

The RetroPie forum belongs to the upstream community and has its own rules. Use it for upstream topics, not as an implied support desk for a future independent image. The upstream source repository is the place to study setup modules and contribute appropriate fixes.

A practical community standard

Be respectful, describe problems clearly, credit other people’s work, and welcome beginners. Disagree with an idea without attacking its author. Nobody is owed an instant volunteer response. This site does not yet operate a separate hosted forum, mailing list, or support SLA.
