Troubleshooting

No sound

A game or the entire setup is silent.

Start here

  1. Check the display or speakers and their volume/mute controls.
  2. Confirm the intended HDMI or USB audio output is selected.
  3. Compare sound in the menu with sound in one known working test program.
  4. Record the OS and emulator before applying any command from an older audio guide.
What usually causes this?

Wrong physical output, muted volume or application-specific audio configuration.

Advanced explanation

Audio services and device numbering vary by OS. If only one emulator is silent, investigate that application before changing system-wide services.
