ROM folders and file formats

You are unsure where files belong or which extension is accepted.

Start here

  1. Find the selected system in the emulator reference library.
  2. Use its listed folder and supported file formats.
  3. For multi-file disc images, keep the required companion files and paths together.
  4. Refresh the frontend after transfers finish.
What usually causes this?

Mixing system folders, disc formats or emulator-specific archive requirements.

Advanced explanation

Arcade ROM-set versions are tied to emulator versions. Different dumps with the same title are not necessarily interchangeable.
